I couldn’t agree more.  Over here, we pamper our favorite druggies by giving them slaps on the wrist and bigger contracts, all while they hit home runs and taunt the system.  Just once, I’d love to see the Feds show up at a baseball game and make arrests.  Nothing like seeing some All Star led off in cuffs in front of 50,000 fans to make people think the Tour is actually on the right side of the doping problem.  In other words, at least the Tour is doing something about doping.

Alas, it probably will never happen.  This is America, where we celebrate celebrities going into rehab and we applaud them when they come “clean” because they’re tortured souls who can’t deal with the press and the adoring masses.

I wonder what would happen if one of our celebrities were high, realized it was time to clean up, drove to rehab and were arrested on the way to rehab.
