Logging Frameworks Considered Harmful

I’ve had it with logging frameworks.  Damn.  What started out as a good thing (log4j) has turned into this awful nightmare of configuration, classloading, religious wars, etc. all over something as stupid as printing out some stupid statement that most developers don’t even know how to make say something useful.

Apple Keynote File Bloat

Was perusing my files looking for a PPT file to do some testing on and came across the following in Finder:

Notice that the PPT file is 1.8 MB and the Keynote file is 24.6 MB.  I opened the Keynote today and did a fresh export just to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks [...]
