Evolution of Security

Evolution of Security

I have been traveling a bit more lately and have noticed a seemingly new thing: first class passengers get their own security screen.  So, naturally, I want to know if a first class ticket purchase has higher fees that are passed onto the TSA or are the airlines somehow subsidizing TSA so that first class passengers get preferential treatment.  If they pay more to TSA or if the airline is paying it, fine, makes sense but I don’t think  tax dollars should be paying for the rich to go through security faster.

Does anyone know the answer?  Are we subsidizing the rich going through security faster or are they paying for it via fees on First Class tickets or via their ticket purchase to the airline?
