Finally, a use for all those stupid Yellow Pages I keep getting

I finally found a use for some of the many Yellow Pages I keep getting:

Phone Book Use

Now, my monitor is finally at eye level and I don’t have to strain my neck looking down.  I guess “Progressive Plumbing and Piping”, “Sunrise Dental” and “Smiles of Cary” got their money’s worth when advertising in the Talking Phone Book and the Keystone Yellow Pages, as that is about the only one’s I can see.  Of course, I plan to cover them up soon enough with pictures or something.  At least this is a better use than the landfill or the recycling center.  Now, what to do with next year’s…  Heck, instead of a new coal plant near Charlotte, they could build a “yellow pages” burning plant.  Could probably power a small city :-)

I am so tired of these books. I call the telephone company and they told me it is the law to deliver books? What a mess. I did find an organization that will help stop the madness: http://www.YellowPagesGoesGreen.org. This organization will contact the publishers and inform them to stop delivering books. This is a free service for consumers. If I need a book I will call for one (and not six to either a year!!). I officially “opt out” from receiving it.

Just the other day I seen 8 of these laying on the floor stacked up together, very old must have been their for a week if not longer, that is just plain littering, shame on them. The yellow pages “need to give out their book” because they have an agreement with the advertisers that paid to be in their book.
