Ah, gotta love my old bank. For several months now, I have been getting statements for an account that I closed not once, but twice now. Turns out, I still, supposedly, have 1 penny in my account. So, every month, the bank mails me the statement, at a cost of $0.37 (or whatever the metered postage rate is) to tell me my account, which I closed twice over, has $0.01 in it. Don’t you think maybe they need a system that sends out an automated response asking you if you wish to close the account every now and then since it has no activity, etc. Furthermore, I don’t even live within 200 miles of one of their branches.

I probably should tell them about the problem, but part of me feels some satisfaction in light of all the years they charged me all those fees for every little thing I did.
