I finally made the break from Verizon…  Here I was paying $65/month for a phone I hardly use b/c it has totally crappy service where I live (in the heart of Cary, NC, which is no backwater, mind you)

It’s just ridiculous that I have this nice phone that can do all kinds of things, and I can no longer use it.

Now, I am not your typical cell phone user.  I barely use them since I work out of my house and have Skype and a regular phone.  My solution for a cell phone?  I bought the cheapest pay as you go phone from Cingular/AT&T at Best Buy.  The phone has the only 2 features I ever use:  A phone and text messaging.  I don’t really need anything else.  I’ve had the phone for almost 2 months now and I think I have spend $15 dollars to date.  Now I can’t believe I ever paid for more.
