Couple of things that have been annoying me lately

1. Landline phones with Caller ID functionality.  Say you get a call from somewhere that is long distance.  You select the # in the caller id and then you hit the dial button.  Phone dials!  Success!  Not.  Stupid phone doesn’t add the 1 first.  My current phone from AT&T does this, as did my last one from GE.  Is it really that hard to figure out whether the outgoing number is long distance or not?  (By the way, don’t say “how come you still have a landline?” b/c you will have to ask my spouse that, I’ve been wanting to drop it for years.)
2.  Ever make an airline reservation and not have your frequent flier number handy only to forget to add it later?  Come on, airline industry, is it really that hard to program it so that you automatically add my freq. flier # when I book a flight?  Of course it isn’t, it is like 10 lines of code, if that, but in reality, you know most people forget their numbers, thus saving you lots of money.  So much for rewarding your best customers.
