Teams urge riders to accept DNA tests - Yahoo! News

I think they should go one step further (and not just in cycling): I think all athletes should submit blood samples, DNA, etc. that are subject to testing at ANY point in the future. Thus, when more sophisticated testing becomes available, the WADA or whomever can go back and retest and rescind any records. Or, at least, put a statute of limitations on it of 10 -15 years or so. I think this would be a pretty strong deterrent going forward, since athletes would have to way the risk of being caught not just now, but in the future.
