Why didn’t I think of that…

OK, slightly off topic, but when you come across something that is ingenious, you gotta share it. Fact is, I get stuck taking care of the wife’s cats (ok, their mine now too.) You know what I mean, I get stuck with the crap processing, i.e. taking out the litter. So, lately I have been on the lookout for ways to fix this. I wanted to train them to use the toilet using Citi Kitty, but the wife put a nix on that after she determined our 10 year old, fat cat was too stressed by the mere thought of it. So when my mother in law suggested the Omega Paw Cat Litter System I had to check it out.

All I can say is, I wish I had thought of it. Actually, I can say more: it is ingenious, easy to use, and totally efficient. All they did was put the sifting mechanism right into the box along with a built in removal system. You just roll the thing on it’s side and ithen roll it back to it’s original position and then remove the stuff. Takes 30 seconds or so to do. And it only costs $30-40, so there is no need to pay $200 for an automated one when this thing works just as good, if not better, since there are no moving parts, no electrical supply, no getting stuck, etc.
