Lucene Performance Discussion
Interesting discussion here on Lucene performance that is worth reading if you are interested in Lucene. I think there are a lot of misconceptions about Lucene performance. From what I have seen on the list, the performance issue almost always comes down to poor implementation or a poor understanding of Lucene and how it should be used versus a problem with the internals of Lucene.
When there are internal problems in Lucene, they are addressed quickly, after being demonstrated by profiling or some other type of analysis.
