Recycling

How is it that the federal government can provide recycling at campgrounds in Joshua Tree National Park yet a major hotel chain in the heart of a large city cannot?

Recently, I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina in San Diego and was suprised to see there were no recycling capabilities whatsoever. I then ventured up to Joshua Tree NP for three nights of camping and every campground, even the smallest, had recycling containers. Some of these campgrounds were a good 30 miles from the nearest town and I know they receive a lot of traffic, especially in the spring and fall.

I realize it is all economics, but just think of the impact that could be made if a major hotel chain decided to start offering recycling to all their guests.
